Samantha has carved out a niche for herself. She has not just made her own mark, but she also got her own market. This is the reason why many filmmakers are interested to rope in Samantha even for a female-oriented movie. After U-Turn, Samantha is now testing her luck again in a women-centric film Oh Baby, the Telugu remake of Korean film Miss Granny.
The film’s length has been estimated at 2.40 hours and the Telugu version is directed by Nandini Reddy. Now, the moot question is whether Samantha alone could make audiences sit through out the film for this long. Other than Samantha, there is no star value to the movie. Though the likes of Naga Shaurya, Rajendra Prasad, Lakshmi, Rao Ramesh and Urvashi are part of the cast, but Samantha is the face of the movie and she is the sole crowd-puller.
With over 15 Crore budget riding on the film, and distributors have invested so much on the movie hoping that it would bring them the fortune, one has to wait and see what is in store for the film. Since it’s a more multiplex and A-centre film, reviews and word of mouth are going to play crucial role. And Sam’s strength and stardom will be proved with the openings of the film.
