Baahubali VFX Supervisor Becomes Oscar Member


Srinivas Mohan, the man behind extraordinay visual effects in Rajinikanth and Shankar’s 2.0 (Enthiran 2) and Prabhas-Rajamouli’s Baahubali : The Beginning, has been conferred with a rare honour. Srinivas Mohan has been invited by The Academy (Oscars) to become its esteemed member. Srinivas is the only Indian VFX supervisor among the Academy team.

Upon hearing the news, none other than SS Rajamouli has heaped praises on Srinivas Mohan. “Extremely glad that you have become one of the very few VFX Supervisors around the world to be invited by The Academy. Congratulations sir,” wrote Rajamouli.

Not many know that Srinivas hails from Andhra Pradesh. Vadlamudi Srinivas Murali Mohan was born and raised in Vijayawada. He left Vijayawada in 1997 and moved to Chennai where he worked on Tamil movies. Baahubali was his first Telugu film.
